l7thtee Posted July 15, 2004 #1 Share Posted July 15, 2004 Does it make sense to buy the 4 for $19.50 drink coupons for wine-by-the-glass drinkers? Anyone know the price(s) for wine-by-the-glass? Thanks.

serene56 Posted July 15, 2004 #4 Share Posted July 15, 2004 Yes, you can use the coupons for glasses of wine. Make sure the glass costs 4.50-4.95. You can also use the coupons towards a bottle of wine too./
MartiniMama Posted July 15, 2004 #5 Share Posted July 15, 2004 We bought the coupons and found them to be a waste of money. We tried using them to buy martinis (what else?? :D ) at dinner and one night, the waiter took them, the next night she said she needed extra coupons. We ended up paying more for the drinks than had we just added them to the ship charge card. Plus, we found it very inconvenient to remember to bring the drink coupons. Just my experience... :D

Just my experience... :D I think you might have had an inexperienced server. If the drink is for more than the amount of the coupon, the difference should be charged to your shipboard account. <BREAK> The only advantage of using the coupons is for drinks that cost $4.50 - $4.95. Why $4.50? Because the coupons include the 15% gratuity. So, a $4.50 drink will cost you about $5.18 with tip. I think the frozen cocktails, which is all I drink onboard, cost $4.95. So, if I use a coupon, I save the 15% gratuity.
serene56 Posted July 16, 2004 #9 Share Posted July 16, 2004 Premium Martins sell for 6-7 bucks. If you wanted JUST a regular martin that price is 4.95. (see the difference.) Here is a page for prices for drinks onboard Carnival. http://community.webshots.com/album/37944457xihAnV
Cruiseador Posted July 23, 2004 #10 Share Posted July 23, 2004 Does RCI provide drink coupons for non-alcoholic frozen drinks? What is the price of the non-alcoholic frozen drinks onboard the Grandeur of the Seas? Thanks
serene56 Posted July 23, 2004 #11 Share Posted July 23, 2004 Royal Caribbean no longer sell drink cards for alcohol. They DO carry the soda cards. I also think they have a wine package...but not too sure. You may want to look at the ROyal board for that information.
