zelker Posted October 27, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 27, 2006 What works better for everyone when you've got 2 adults plus a 16 yr old boy (not terribly big kid) -- the pullman or a sofa bed? Thanks!
kdowneymd Posted October 27, 2006 #2 Share Posted October 27, 2006 Absolutely the sofa bed and even that may be a touch small
whdigital Posted October 27, 2006 #3 Share Posted October 27, 2006 We were just on the Freedom with our 15 yr. old daughter. Had a sofabed in a D1 outside cabin. Worked great with the one exception that the bed, when pulled out, makes for a small passage between it and the drawers/desk. Getting ready in the morning made for minor traffic jams, but it's a bigger bed for the kid and the couch is nice during the day if needed for reading or whatever.... Calicruisefamily Posted October 27, 2006 #4 Share Posted October 27, 2006 Get a D1 cabin and make sure it has a sofa bed. We are a family of 3 also and the sofa bed works out great with our daughter. Priusprof Posted October 27, 2006 #6 Share Posted October 27, 2006 What works better for everyone when you've got 2 adults plus a 16 yr old boy (not terribly big kid) -- the pullman or a sofa bed? Thanks! The pullman bed is a thousand times better than the sofa bed for both comfort and convenience. During the day it is hidden away in the ceiling allowing full movement in the cabin. At night the room steward lowers it and it is like an upper bunk bed over the couch. Not nearly as obtrusive as the folded out bunk bed. And most importantly, the sleeping comfort goes hands down to the pullman. Our daughter has done both and given the choice always chooses the pullman.
