lovecruisingtoo Posted November 13, 2006 #26 Share Posted November 13, 2006 I personally don't think tipping was a big issue on Windstar. If it was, then why would you see the same crew members year after year after year?
lovecruisingtoo Posted November 15, 2006 #27 Share Posted November 15, 2006 I asked Windstar what happens if a passenger directly tips a crew member instead of using the "hotel charge". There response was the following: "Dear Mr. Lovecruisingtoo, If a Windstar guest extends gratuity directly to a crew member the gratuity is not placed in a pool or shared. Crew members “tipped” directly keep the gratuity to themselves. I hope you find this information helpful. Sincerely, Rachel Boyer Guest Relations Windstar Cruises"
