Prinsendam Wet Dock

Think of it as sending the ship out for a day at the spa to get "freshened up".

 

What goes on is a lot of deep cleaning, painting, probably replacing some soft furnishings, and generally other cosmetic "stuff" to keep the ship looking spotless.

 

And perhaps sometimes some behind-the-scenes mechanical business that has to be taken care of (just like you have to take your car for an oil change).

My favorite DAM ship will finally get her all out Dry Dock in November/December of 2007 ...Then we get to go 65 days fully exploring South America !!!!...With,,,,,Captain Chris Turner and hopefully Fritts as our HM....

It's good to know that when we leave the ship on December 12th, they'll clean her up! Sure hope she's not too shabby for us:) .

 

Still, I'd rather be on the "shabby" Prinsendam than some other more spiffed up ships I know!!!

 

We can't wait! In my future I'm hoping for the 2 week Holiday cruise in 2008!
