avalon1025 Posted November 5, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 5, 2006 For the two days before my cruise on the Prinsendam, she is shceduled to be in "wet dock" in Ft Lauderdale (Dec 13/14). Anyone know what she will be having done? What goes on during a typical wet dock? thanks!
dougnewmanatsea Posted November 5, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 5, 2006 Think of it as sending the ship out for a day at the spa to get "freshened up". What goes on is a lot of deep cleaning, painting, probably replacing some soft furnishings, and generally other cosmetic "stuff" to keep the ship looking spotless. And perhaps sometimes some behind-the-scenes mechanical business that has to be taken care of (just like you have to take your car for an oil change). HeatherInFlorida Posted November 6, 2006 #4 Share Posted November 6, 2006 It's good to know that when we leave the ship on December 12th, they'll clean her up! Sure hope she's not too shabby for us:) . Still, I'd rather be on the "shabby" Prinsendam than some other more spiffed up ships I know!!! We can't wait! In my future I'm hoping for the 2 week Holiday cruise in 2008!
