jetboy Posted November 6, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 6, 2006 Hi Guys, looking for some advise for this cruise with dining arrangements. There are 6 of us and we want to try Portafoinos and Chops but are not sure what days to go.We want to avoid the formal nights as we enjoy the dining room on those nights and also the last night and we feel its so important to say goodbye to your waiters. We usually try and go when its Caribbean night in the dining room any help would be great. Also 2 couples are C & A diamond members are we allowed to take in our other 2 friends as guests one night into the C&A lounge?????

Since you can not make dinner reservations until you are on board, may I make a suggestion. When you get to your cabin, there will be a daily Compass on your bed with an overview of all of the daily events and activities, by day. Use that as your guide since the cruise lines tend to switch theme nights around from cruise to cruise. When you go to Portofinos and Chops to make your reservations, ask the Head Waiter for all of the daily dining room menus for the cruise. Based on that and the events listed in the Compass, make your secision. It has worked for us on all of our cruises. Guests are not allowed in the C&A lounge... sorry. gadaboutgal Posted November 7, 2006 #3 Share Posted November 7, 2006 When you get on board, go directly to Chops/Portafinos to make your reservations as they do fill up very quickly. They will have the information you need including sea days/formal/Main Dining Menus and can help you choose. Do not miss Portafinos-fabulous! (Food is wonderful in Chops-just seems a bit slow on some ships.)
