Best Place to go for Sail Away on the CB?

If any of you have been on the CB lately, where would be the best place for our CC group to meet after the muster drill for a drink at Sail-Away? We would like to be outside if the weather is nice.:o

The Outrigger Bar on Deck 15 aft. Not a lot of people there, so it was a perfect place for our group to gather and we had excellent views as we pulled away from the port.

Morgan's Bar (Pirate's View) on the top deck is also a good choice.

Morgan's is OK, but Outrigger is always open and there are tables and chairs. I would take anyone of them right now.

May I also suggest that you make a second/third get together.

 

that first day gets rther hectic for some people. some will miss the get together because they just need to unwind.

 

(dont set a time either-- just state-- after the muster drill)

 

I had people not show up because the ship sailed late- the msuter drill was later then posted and people just thought there wouldnt be any people there.

I agree with Serene56 about the second/third get-together.

We just got off the CB yesterday and having a get-together drink right after the muster drill is kind of tough. The drill is usually at 4:30 with sail-away immediately following.

You also have to remember that some people have 1st seating for dinner which is at 6:00 and that doesn't leave a whole lot of time either. We did our M&G in Skywalker's at 2:00 and just had people mingle in at their leisure when time became available.

 

Outrigger's is a better choice though for the sail-away because the area around Morgan's Bar is very large and packed and if you want to talk with people in a group it can be difficult along with the fact that, unless you choose an exact location or everyone wears a completely identical item, you will never get everybody together. This is unfortunately from experience, but we have learned from that.

Thanks for the suggestions! We have always had our CC gatherings right after we put the life jackets away after the muster drill at one of the outside deck bars. Looks like Outrigger Bar is a popular choice for sail away and that will be close to our LIDO deck room too. Another meeting on one of the sea days is a good idea too. Can't wait!!
