Lunch on Port Days

Can anyone tell me if lunch in the main dining room is served on all days including days in Port? On previous cruises we had been on, many years ago, the dining room was closed and the buffet was the only option for food. I prefer restaurant style dining. Is the Pinnacle open on port days?

Terrible to obsess about the food but I can't help it. :D

It was just as you described on Noordam on the 25Oct sailing.

 

 

Both dining room, and Pinnacle were closed on some port days.

I think it was during our calls in St Thomas and Puerto Rico, but not sure.

Have to check the daily programmes I've saved.

Same thing on the Volendam -- check your daily program to see when the restaurant and Pinnacle will be open on port days.

 

It gives the waitstaff some time off to either shop or catch up on some sleep.

 

The Pinnacle on the Volendam now charges $15 for lunch.

I agree, check the schedule as we found that food was served on certain port days and not others in the dining room.

Is the Pinnacle open on port days?

I believe the Pinnacles on all ships are only open for lunch on Sea days.

Thanks for everyones input. I know we won't go hungry. Just like to eat in resaurant settings. Room service is good too. :)

It must be important in Port .

 

Well the best alternative then is to reseach your Ports of Call and eat in Resturants ashore too.

 

Trying the local cuisine is good. But again do your research.:eek:
