rozen Posted November 16, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 16, 2006 Just received my tickets for our cruise next month on the Freedom of the Seas. Inside the envelope was a note on red paper stating that boarding will start at 2:00 pm.and asking not to arrive at the pier before this time. On our previous cruises we always boarded between 11:00 and 12:00 am. Would like to know from recent cruisers on the Freedom how early they Boarded? Thanks
Grandma Dazzles Posted November 17, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 17, 2006 Just returned from the Freedom. Boarded around noon - believe some people boarded around 11:00. You can board, however, staterooms are not available (hall way door is locked) until 1:00 p.m.
cb at sea Posted November 17, 2006 #3 Share Posted November 17, 2006 All of the cruise docs for all of the ships say that boarding is at 2 pm! Folks in the know ignore that and get to the ship around 11:30 or so. After all, this is the 1st day of the cruise you've paid dearly for! Use that 1st day!!!!! promoman Posted November 17, 2006 #4 Share Posted November 17, 2006 We have also been on the Freedom several weeks after delivery. They informed us not to arrive before 2. Of course we didn't listen either and arrived about 11 am. Checked in right away and boarded the ship by 12:30. It is true the cabins are not ready before 1 or 2, but you can go to the windjammer or pool and get an early buzz on. Might as well get as much of the day as you can. Remember, you paid for that day so enjoy the most of it. The later you arrive at the terminal the more crowded it will be. Avoid the rush and arrive early. We never listened when we were younger, why start now! Rules were meant to be broken. What is the worst they can do to you make you walk the plank? Enjoy the trip!!
