Rare Captain Funtime Posted November 21, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 21, 2006 I am sailing 12.11 on Century in a lowly outside cabin. Any information on the room service selections would be appreciated.

SheilaNC Posted November 21, 2006 #3 Share Posted November 21, 2006 Does anyone have a .pdf file of the Concierge Class room service menu for comparison?? Thanks
Lsimon Posted November 21, 2006 #4 Share Posted November 21, 2006 I think the only difference is the breakfast hang card has a couple of special items not available to standard rooms like a berry parfait, baked bananas, some fruit smoothies, and a couple of other items. I think the room service menu for other times is the same, and I know that in ANY room you can get anything on the dining room menu, or served in the dining room during the hours it is open - be it breakfast, lunch, or dinner. slotaddict Posted November 22, 2006 #5 Share Posted November 22, 2006 Larrys correct the only difference is the breakfast. My expectations about the breakfast were very high, and I was disappointed, all breakfasts that we ordered were cold.
Lsimon Posted November 22, 2006 #6 Share Posted November 22, 2006 Larrys correct the only difference is the breakfast. My expectations about the breakfast were very high, and I was disappointed, all breakfasts that we ordered were cold. Generally, I prefer to have coffee in the room and then have a leisurely breakfast up in the cafe. Especially since we don't like to plan our wake up time if we don't need to, and if we wait until we're ready for breakfast to order it can take 20 to 30 minuites or so. And as slotaddict says, it's hard to get a nice hot breakfast from room service. However, we do like to get a room service breakfast on mornings with early excursions when we have to get up early and on-schedule. The call that breakfast is coming down the hall is a great wake up call to get you going in the morning.
slotaddict Posted November 22, 2006 #7 Share Posted November 22, 2006 After the first cold breakfast, we did order room service again, we had a very early excursion, and ordered coffee and fruit and danish, delivered promptly, coffee was hot and quite good. We also ordered breakfast on the last day, but that was continental only, coffee and danish.
dkjretired Posted November 22, 2006 #8 Share Posted November 22, 2006 I am sailing 12.11 on Century in a lowly outside cabin. Any information on the room service selections would be appreciated. Also, the regular dining room menu is available during dining room hours for Lunch and Dinner.
Lsimon Posted November 22, 2006 #9 Share Posted November 22, 2006 ...We also ordered breakfast on the last day, but that was continental only, coffee and danish... We've decided the best place for breakfast on the last day is definitely the dining room. This is usually the only time we eat a meanl other than dinner there. It's nice to have a full breakfast before heading to the airport and the dining room has been open till 8:30 on our last couple of cruises. We've found the buffet is just crazy the last morning as so many people are going at the same time - not spread out as much as other mornings.
