Ei_N_Tom Posted February 17, 2007 #6 Share Posted February 17, 2007 The Radiance craps table is my favorite and luckiest!! On our Alaska cruise in September I won $160 in about 20 minutes!!:) Hi there! I've been searching for a thread that discusses the Radiance of Seas casino and its hours of operation during the Alaska sailings. Since you sailed in September, maybe you can provide this information. I only ask because we are traveling with our 84-yr-old grandfather. He has sailed to Alaska already and truly enjoys spending his time in the casino. Amazingly enough, he has been very lucky onboard. Thanks, in advance, for sharing! M&M Hayden Posted February 17, 2007 #7 Share Posted February 17, 2007 The casino won't be open when the ship is in port, but will open usually about 30 or 60 minutes after sailing and will remain open until "the wee hours".
Ei_N_Tom Posted February 21, 2007 #8 Share Posted February 21, 2007 Thanks for the information, M&M. I must admit I'm disappointed, and I'm sure Grandfather will be, too. He had heard from some friends that often ships will have the slot machines up & running for gaming while in Alaska's ports, but tables and other casino fun would be unavailable. I'll inform G'pa that he'll need to find another form of entertainment while we are in port. Thanks, again. Eileen
Nikkichat Posted March 5, 2007 #9 Share Posted March 5, 2007 Hi nice to find fellow crap shooters! Can anyone tell me the minimum bet on the craps table on the radiance. I am hoping it is $5. Also can you tell me their "odds" policy? double? 10X? 3-4-5Vegas? One more question-----do you know the table minimums for blackjack on Radiance? Thanks I really appreciate the help. Have cruised Princess to Alaska twice and slots were never open while in port. Like your Grandfather, wish they were.
Chardo Posted March 5, 2007 #11 Share Posted March 5, 2007 Don't know if all ships are the same, but Rhapsody had a $5 minimum for craps and blackjack. Single odds only, except double odds on one night (Friday). Hard to win big with single odds. Probably better to make bigger place bets instead of line and come. Ei_N_Tom Posted March 7, 2007 #12 Share Posted March 7, 2007 Regrettably, Grandfather doesn't recall which cruise line his friend mentioned regarding open slots while in Alaska's ports. If he bumps into the couple, he'll be sure to ask. Sorry I couldn't offer anything further. Eileen
Nikkichat Posted March 9, 2007 #13 Share Posted March 9, 2007 Thank you chardo. wow, you'd think they'd at least offer double odds. You're right--I'll be placing.
