CRUISER2B Posted July 20, 2004 #1 Share Posted July 20, 2004 Hi I just returned from my first cruise on Carnival Fascination. I am now planning a trip to Canada/New England for my 20th Anniversary in 2005. However I can't decide between Carnival or Princess. They both have 7 day itineraries. Also, I am getting mixed dates for best sailing (late June/early July vs October). Any advice?? Thanks.
cruznliz Posted July 20, 2004 #2 Share Posted July 20, 2004 I don't know what the Carnival schedule is, but Princess only does Canada/New England about mid September through October. We did this wonderful cruise on the Golden Princess (sister to the Grand) 2 years ago. It is a great itinerary. October is recommended because of the Fall colors in New England. Have fun planning! :D
sue d. miller Posted July 20, 2004 #3 Share Posted July 20, 2004 I don't know where you are from, but I am a new england girl!! October for the fall colors are magnificent. Colder than july, but that would have to be part of the choice!! :)
CRUISER2B Posted July 20, 2004 Author #4 Share Posted July 20, 2004 I am from Long Island. Hubby & I love the cold, so that is no problem. He has always wanted to go to New England for the Fall Foliage and to Maine but we never seemed to find the time. Well, sounds like October it is. Now all I have to do is find out which ship & when they start booking. Thanks for all the help.
