C&A priority departure lounge question

I am a Platinum member, and we will be on Adventure in March. The list of "benefits" for C&A members includes a priority departure lounge. What is that?

It is a location on the ship (perhaps part of the dining room or the Viking Crown lounge or other lounge) where Platinum and Diamond members can relax and have a continental breakfast while awaiting the time for your departure. It is certainly more comfortable than standing in the stairwells or corridors as some insist on doing. Sometime during the cruise you should receive a note from the Loyalty Ambassador indicating where to gather on debarkation day.:)

Of course that only applies if you're not getting off the ship early!

so we usually meet in the theatre to go our the side exit to the stairs down to the gangway. In Harwick last May the gal read the list of Diamond members & all were there so we left at 6:10AM & the bus to Gatwick was gone by 6:30AM.

Of course the time for debarkation it depends on your port of debarkation........In Ft. Lauderdale in October we are Diamond and weren't called off the ship until 9am.............but you will be one of the first groups called off your ship..........very nice benefit.........

Wouldn't you agree that it also depends on when Customs and Immigration show up..........if they are late, or if there is a delay in processing folks.......the debarkation could be held up as well also. On our turn around day before you guys got on for the PC cruise, in San Pedro, everyone had to go through Custom's & Immigration onboard. The process was suppose to start at 6:00AM............the C&I folks never arrived until 6:45AM and then everything was backed up. Nobody got off the ship until they were all cleared. If you remember, you guys weren't allowed to board as early as usual.

 

To debark early (that is taking all of your luggage off with you).....do you remember what they call that? I know that you have to notify Guest Relations ASAP to be on the list, and I thought anyone could get off early.

It totally depends on the debarkation port and when your return flight is, not just the fact that you are diamond as to when you get off the ship. We had a mid-afternoon return flight on our recent Serenade cruise and were in no big hurry to debark. We stayed in the debarkation lounge from about 8am until about 9:30am and then made our way off. Please do not think that because you are Platinum or Diamond that you have to get off the ship at 6 am. YIKES!! It definitely varies from cruise to cruise and port to port. The debarkation lounge is a nice perk.....enjoy!
