Pax - passengers

OP - original poster

PDC - post cruise depression

Chank - Chankanaab Park

PdC - Playa del Carmen

CD - cruise director

BF - boyfriend/best friend

ATC - addicted to cruising

BTW - by the way

A few other helpful things:

The vessel you are on is a cruise ship - not a boat.

Where you sleep is a cabin - not a room.

A cabin steward is not to be called a "cabin boy".

I read one post where DH was to mean Dumb Husband per the OP. Also other adjectives beginning with "D" such as darn, damned, dopey, etc. Of course the same goes for DW.

How about "front of the ship" instead of bow

"Back of the ship" instead of stern or aft

and on and on it goes.

Its DECK, never FLOOR.

HEAD, never bathroom.

In the event of a tragedy its SOULS. not persons or victims.

My favorite, PREROGATIVE, not purrogative or perogative, ad infinitum, ad nauseum. (sorry, my pet peeve) :D

MOB, Man OverBoard, never to be screamed in jest as any crew member that hears this must instantly throw life rings, notify bridge of the event, which will immediately institute MOB procedure causing strong listing, broken dishes and glasses, pax falling down, etc. (not a pleasant sight). The poor SOUL in the water takes precedence over everything else. :)

...then there's always the old SNAFU -

Situation Normal All F****D Up. The original military version which of course has been sanitized.

The soup came out after the entree because there was a snafu in the galley.
