DotingDale Posted December 23, 2006 #1 Share Posted December 23, 2006 A few months ago someone asked for a private, romantic area on the Esctacy. There are not many, unless you have one of the 3 balaconies. However, here are a few "more" private areas. 1. Deck 8 aft. In what use to be by the kids club area, you do have to cross a rope that says "crew only" is a entire back deck. Right before you go outside (coming up the passenger stairway in the middle back of deck 7) to the right is another door marked crew only. Occassionaly this is open, and the first door on the left is a special "crew meditation room" with a live working watefall. This is the most private, unused room on the ship, and has a lock on the door if your spouse is in the mood. 2. The topless deck. Completely unused at night. Let the darkness hide your evil ways. 3. Someone said going forward out of the main lounge outside to the front of the ship will sound an alarm. Unsure as it did not ring for us... or it was silent and we were just too quick to get caught. maybe worth a try. It is very easy to get to. 4. There is a front obeservation deck you get to from the promenda deck forward, then up stairs. Not too private, until you discover, right in the middle, is a flight of stairs that goes up to the exercise room. The door on the exercise room is an emergency alarmed door out, so no one uses it. There are privacy doors you can close on the stariway at the bottom if you want to get romantic during the day. At night, the the danger add to the experience and leave the doors open. People on the deck won't know you are in the stairway. Perhaps there are others. But on a 3 day cruise, we only had time to Christen these 4 areas. anyone got others? Good thing you weren't on a 10 day. All that would have been left was the bow. Boy, would the captain have been surprised.
coevan Posted December 24, 2006 #6 Share Posted December 24, 2006 A very quite area is forward on the riviera deck. Go all the way forward past all the cabins and there is a door which exits to a captains view of the ocean. Very windy, but a beautiful spot. jandjfun Posted December 24, 2006 #7 Share Posted December 24, 2006 We had a balcony on the ecstacy. It wasn't private at all! There was a staircase right outside our balcony railing. It did not obstruct our view so it wasn't marked as such. However the people using the stairs could have easily reached over the railings and shook hands with us. coevan Posted December 24, 2006 #8 Share Posted December 24, 2006 One of the few down sides of Fantasy class ships. Only balconies are suites and the observation deck looks directly into the suites.
