Diamond Dolphin Deck D529 Cabin Question

I've heard that all Diamond AA Mini-Suites on the Dolphin Deck have uncovered balconies. Is this true? We like the larger balcony size mini-suites offer but, prefer the covered type similar to some of the AA cabins on Coral Princess. We've booked Diamond Princess B529 for a Feb 2006 cruise. Any info on this cabin? Will this cabin work for us? or - should I make a change to another cabin category? All input welcomed. Thanks - SeaFish

There are some minisuites on Emerald Deck, aft, that have covered balconies. We had a minisuite on Dolphin Deck on a coastal - it was cool & windy, so we didn't sit out there much. I believe that all of the Dolphin deck minis have uncovered balconies.

All Minisuites are uncovered and can be seen from all of the decks above - including skywalker lounge. I believe, as stated by Critterchick, the Mini's on the Emerald deck are covered. We had a mini on the Dolphin Deck for Alaska inside passage and thoroughly enjoyed it and the balcony. See my review for the Diamond Princess on cruisecritic.com under new reviews.
