stipmom Posted January 5, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 5, 2007 due to weather or ship problems? I also posted this on the Europe board but I am particularly interested in the Western Europe ports. Thanks.
Rare Keith1010 Posted January 6, 2007 #2 Share Posted January 6, 2007 It is highly unlikely that you will miss a port in Europe due to weather problems. I would not worry about this as you look at potential itineraries. Yes, I have missed a port due to a ship problem (Malta) but again, that was an isolated issue. Kindlychap Posted January 12, 2007 #3 Share Posted January 12, 2007 I've missed Guernsey. Mind you, that is far from unusual. Remember that tender ports are far more likely to be dropped than those ports where you berth alongside. Matthew
Jade13 Posted January 22, 2007 #4 Share Posted January 22, 2007 thinking of booking some private plus ships) and a person with HAL told me it hadn't happened in the two years she'd been with them. She specifically refenced the Italian ports (Western Med) being used when there was unrest in other areas or they couldn't dock/tender at certain Greek Islands. paul929207 Posted January 22, 2007 #5 Share Posted January 22, 2007 We have been on 6 cruises in Europe (2 were river cruises) and never missed a port. Paul
