twojays Posted January 17, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 17, 2007 We are going on a Caribbean Cruise from Fort Lauderdale on 9th February. Could anyone please tell me if it will still feel warm out on deck in the evening? Thanks.
kamac56 Posted January 18, 2007 #2 Share Posted January 18, 2007 I haven't been on a western cruise but was on a southern and the evenings are warm, but I would bring a lite jacket, sweater type just to play it safe. Everyones body temp controls are different and I know I can stand in 50-60 degree weather in short sleeve and shorts, but my husband can't. Keksie Posted January 18, 2007 #3 Share Posted January 18, 2007 In the evenings the ship usually speeds up considerably. This can make it very windy on deck. I am always cold on deck at night because of this so I usually bring a wrap to wear.
98Charlie Posted January 18, 2007 #4 Share Posted January 18, 2007 First and last nights as you go out of and back into Fort Lauderdale will probably be your chilliest nights on the cruise. A jacket or sweater will definately be in order those nights on deck (long pants are comfortable as well). As said before the wind from the ship traveling faster at night adds a chill to the air on deck even on some of the warmest of nights. I pack a couple of shaws and a light weight sweater and light jacket to be ready for the weather so I can layer them to be comfortable as needed.
