Ok, this is a silly question, but I'm gonna ask anyway, don't recall ever seeing it mentioned or asked, and yes, curiosity kills the cat, but here goes. Has anyone ever taken a can of silly string on board to spray their friends/family with at sailaway, or just for fun? Just curious

Haven't used "silly string". Have used bubbles/poppers [the kind you'd find at New Years celebrations. Not sure if "silly string" causes staining problems. If not, I'd suspect no problem as long as it remains on the deck [not off the deck/into sea]

I would use bubbles - silly string can't be good for the water...

I've never seen that on a ship, and if you're seen, they'll probably ask you to stop because it makes a heck of a mess. That probably falls into the no streamers or confetti catagory, the enviroment you know.
