Ferrieg Posted January 31, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 31, 2007 We will be arriving in Southampton at 6 am on a Saturday. I was hoping to take an 11 am flight out of Heathrow. I am told the cruiseline says flights need to be 1 pm or later. Any experience with this? It seems that 5 hours would be enough time to make the flight? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you! ArtM Posted January 31, 2007 #2 Share Posted January 31, 2007 When someone answer the OP, please also indicate what the recommended earliest departure is for Gatwick. Again, this assumes a 6 AM arrival in Southhampton. The question also assume use of the ship's transfer to Gatwick. Thanks Art

I understand that you should to allow 3 hours for check in at Heathrow. You may be cutting it a little close.
Globaliser Posted February 1, 2007 #4 Share Posted February 1, 2007 It seems that 5 hours would be enough time to make the flight? Not if you allow two hours to disembark the ship, two hours to transfer to Heathrow, and two hours for check-in. So if the cruise line says no, I would go along with them. When someone answer the OP, please also indicate what the recommended earliest departure is for Gatwick. Again, this assumes a 6 AM arrival in Southhampton.Your best bet is, again, to ask the cruise line for their guidance as a first step.
