Southampton to Heathrow

We will be arriving in Southampton at 6 am on a Saturday. I was hoping to take an 11 am flight out of Heathrow. I am told the cruiseline says flights need to be 1 pm or later. Any experience with this? It seems that 5 hours would be enough time to make the flight? Any advice would be appreciated.

When someone answer the OP, please also indicate what the recommended earliest departure is for Gatwick. Again, this assumes a 6 AM arrival in Southhampton. The question also assume use of the ship's transfer to Gatwick.

I understand that you should to allow 3 hours for check in at Heathrow. You may be cutting it a little close.

Not if you allow two hours to disembark the ship, two hours to transfer to Heathrow, and two hours for check-in.

 

So if the cruise line says no, I would go along with them.

Your best bet is, again, to ask the cruise line for their guidance as a first step.
