Drinking Age

Every passenger is given a Sail & Sign card. On Carnival ships, anyone under the age of 21 - their card will be flagged to show age. If they try to purchase any alcoholic beverage, including beer, they will not be served.

 

Duck is correct. I think if you can walk in MX, you can be served liquor.:p

My daughter is a sophomore in college and is 19. She is also 4 foot 10 and looks like she is 12. She had no problem getting booze on the ship. The only times they wouldn't serve her was if she tried to use her sign and sail card to pay for it since it came up that she was under age. Other than that no one ever questioned her. In any of the Carribean countries the drinking age is 18 and as in Mexico if you can see over the bar, you are served.
