"Must See's" in St. Maarten?

Does anyone have any recommendations for what to do in St. Maarten? Our cruise leaves in 3 weeks so I'm trying to plan our excursions. We will be taking a day sail to St. John & snorkeling during our stop in St. Thomas so I want to do something a little different in St. Maarten. Any recommendations would be appreciated!!!

I love Orient Beach. Hire a car and drive to the French side...great beach sand like sugar great lunch

Go to Maho beach and duck down when a 747 tries to hit your head with its wheels on it landing approach to Princess Juliana Airport!

Zip line at Lotterie Farm!!!

Really a lot of fun...but if you have a fear of heights stay away.

We tried to do a little of everything since it was our first visit. We hired a driver who took us around the island, Maho Bay for the jets coming in, Marigot, Orient Beach. The beach was gorgeous, Marigot was interesting, loved watching the jets come in.

I'd definitely second the Lotterie farm recommendation. We haven't done the zip line, but its a beautiful setting and the restaurant is great for lunch. Tempura banana brought us back a second time on our last cruise!

 

Marigot is also quite pretty for shopping - being a French territory there are products available there which are difficult to find outside of France.
