Mailing from the Veendam

I'm busy packing and prepping for my first cruise - We're leaving on Sunday on the Veendam and I'm quite excited.

I've found almost all the information that I need here and there on these boards (You folks are awesome!) But I do have one question.

I'd like to mail post cards home from the various ports we visit - and if possible, get them postmarked in the appropriate countries. (I'm a huge scrapbooker, so this would be a great addition to our scrapbook for the trip).

Is this something I'd do in each port, or does the ship actually drop mail at each stop if you mail it from the ship itself?

Any information you could share would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Kellie

(Who can't wait to go!)

Mail is picked up by the Port Agent from the ship in every port.

Go to the Front Office at least ( I think) 2 hours before sailing; purchase from them appropriate postage for the country where the ship is docked; they will show you where the mail slot is beside the desk and your postcards will be mailed and postmarked from that country.

The Front Office has postage appropriate for each port and you can buy a single stamp from them to use on your postcard.

Have a GREAT cruise.

Fair winds and a following sea......
