Hi: I am one cruise shore of Platinum Status on CCL. Talked to a Carnival Rep this morning regarding 12/1984 sailing of the TSS Festivale. He indicated that she did not sail from Miami (Eastern Crib) after 01/1984. Did any of you sail on the Festivale in 1984 are have proof that the ship sailed that year? Many thanks! Greg

One more note...

Many folks have found that if you don't get a satisfactory answer from a Carnival person... just call back. You will get another employee that may actually know the answer to the question you are asking.

Clearly, the person you spoke to "did not know"... but had a problem forming his lips to say so...

I was on her 10/85 out of Norfolk VA to Nassau. We only went 1 way and had to fly back. Sorry I can't help you.

To get credit all you need is your welcome aboard photo or your boarding pass. I just got my 83 cruise on Carnivale added to my cruises with carnival recently by finding the boarding pass is a scrapbook.

The bigger issue isnt when the ship sailed, but can you prove you were on the ship. If you can prove that, the other issue is moot.

Thank you for your replies! I think I have the photo of that sailing and will fax that to CCL.

Yep, as long as you have proof of some kind that you were on that sailing, you're good to go. I had to send them copies of my boarding photos of earlier cruises (including Festivale '87 out of San Juan.) I'm platinum now....it's all good!:)

Also most people used TAs back then. Check with the one you used. They may have some old paperwork on file.

We used embarkation pictures to get 7 old cruises added and a Kodak picture (and luggage tag from 1982~~don't ask me why we still had that) to get the first cruise added.

Good Luck!!
