Who has the largest BAR BILL (wine, beer and mixed drinks) on their last cruise?

Recommended Posts

I was sitting at the bar on the last day of my cruise and was chatting with some guys trying to impress each other. The topic was who had the biggest BAR BILL. I do not necessarily believe them, but some of the guys claimed they had bar bills approaching $500 for the week. If it is $5.00 a drink average and they had ten drinks a day that would still be less than $500, but who knows?

What was your BAR BILL on your last cruise and can you picture someone drinking $500 in beer, wine and mixed drinks on a 7 night cruise?

Don't forget a bottle of wine can average $40 or so. And yes, a bucket of beer to ones self while lounging by the pool side over the afternoon? Easy. What about all the bloody mary's I see you American's drinking in the morning with breakfast? (I'll take a Ceaser please, lol) A few I'm sure would be easy to through back. And don't forget juice, pop, smoothies, virgin drinks, etc. all cost money.

Can you tell I enjoy my drinks while on vacations? lol I don't ever worry about how much I'm spending. Our onboard account is always very high ($2000 a week for our family).

Hey, I'm on vacation!

I think our bar bill alone was $700 for a week...

I fear prices have gone up a bit in 2 years, so am bringing some wine of my own...but I am frightened!

I will let you know next weekend...

We are off!

$450.00.

We did however buy a couple of drinks for friends also.

Truthfully,

Dave:eek:

BTW: As someone said a bottle of wine has a big markup, a cheap one will run you 40, anything nice will be in the 75 to 100 range just like home. Also top shelf liquors are marked up. One bottle we bought was $125.00 so we decided to look for it at home. We found it here for $65.00.

Our bill came to $900.... that included a few photos, soda cards, and several buckets of beer as well as bingo. Bingo/raffle area worked out well for me on the night before we left I won the raffle for a free cruise. Needless to say I thought since I had won a FREE cruise I would have my hubby and myself celebrate . I bought I think 4-5 buckets of beer that night. OMG we had entirely too much to drink. I do not plan on doing that again this time :)

On our cruise, our Sea Pass bill was 515.00. This included 2 pictures and 15 dollars worth of suvinears. The rest... all liquor! I suggest Long Island Iced Teas... more bank for your buck:)

Oh, did I mention our cruise was only a 3 nighter? hahahha Fun times!

You must be Canadian. Don't you wish the bar tenders could learn how to make a prober Ceaser I hate lugging on my own clamato juice and vodka.

This included dinner in the specialty restaurant one night, about $150.00 in the shops (souvies, perfume, sarongs ,etc), drinks (but not as many as you'd imagine), lots of gratuities,2 week-long passes for the hydrotherapy rooms, 3-4 pictures a couples massage, a facial, about $300 'donated' to the casino, and lots and lots of seltzer and bottled water.

About 300 for two for 7 days.. we think some of you have serious drinking issues, except for BobBeSea!! LOL

This time we are taking the kids so will be a bit higher as we will let them get some special treats( virgin drinks and ice cream)
