Bar Service Question

Have not yet sailed with Royal Caribbean but have heard that there may not be bar service waiters on the sun decks during the day. (Primarily self-service on the decks?) Is this correct? On Carnival, there are plenty of waiters on the decks . . . Just wanted to inquire. Thank you!

not sure where that came from but getting a drink on either level of the pool WILL NOT BE A PROBLEM...THE LAST THING YOU SHOULD WORRY ABOUT IS GETTING THIRSTY AT THE POOL...barrrrrrrrrrrrrservicccccccccccc will not disappoint...

I am so happy to hear this area has improved. When we went on our Monarch cruise, 5 years ago, we waited a LONG time for our drinks. The servers came around frequently, however once we placed our order, it was at least 30 minutes before we received the drinks. It took even longer if we used our soda card. Several times we were going to give up and go to the bar ourselves, however, when you give your card, you have to wait. We just learned to order another before we needed one...then it arrived when we were ready for the drink. :) Where there's a will, there's a way!

If I did, he would think he was in the wrong house. :D

PS, I have always found the servers to be quite efficient and speedy when I use them. Most of those times I am in the theater or the casino when I order. (I tip them extra) ;) :D Never ordered on deck.

Tip and they shall come - is what I have found on all cruise lines. They pay these hardworking people so little that a few extra singles mean so much. On most cruises they will find you no matter where you are!

30 minutes???

I can't keep those suckers away from me!!! Could it be because I have an IV needle right into the vein, with a bag of Pina Colada hanging at the other end??? :p
