Charlie EB Z06 Posted March 18, 2007 #1 Share Posted March 18, 2007 We recently booked a 7 day southern caribbean balcony (E-1) on deck 8 about 6 weeks before the cruise for $750 pp. I recall last year we paid twice that amount for a 7 day deck 9 balcony (D-1), both on RCCL. Is there that much of range in cruise categories? I think an E-1 cabin is 12" narrower than a D-1.
elleluv Posted March 18, 2007 #2 Share Posted March 18, 2007 Definitely a good deal... :) They must have had quite a few cabins left, you got one "on sale".... Good job! :D

That is a great deal, I paid $650 for a four day on Sovereign on 4/2 and that is only a deck 3 oceanview  !!! I know what you mean, I paid over two times that for my E2 on Navigator last year!
HappyFamilyNJ Posted March 18, 2007 #4 Share Posted March 18, 2007 I just booked an E1 (even got an aft cabin!) on a Mariner western Caribbean for $767pp. The cruise is in August (hurricane season), maybe that's why. I think there is that much of a range... I was looking at trying to go on Freedom or Explorer out of NJ in the same time frame and the cheapest balconies were over $1200pp. You just have to hunt around, and be open to different options, for a good deal.
