Enchantment to get a radical makeover

Recommended Posts

73 feet to be inserted into the middle and 151 new rooms will be added in 2005. The ship weight will increase from 70.1 to 80.7 tons.

New public areas will be: a new specialty restaurant, Royal Caribbean's hallmark Boleros Latin lounge and Latte'tudes coffee shop. My guess is the restaurant and Latte’gudes will charge for items in them.

RCI has obviously concluded that it will be faster and far less expensive to stretch Vision class ships, such as the Enchantment of the Seas, than to commit to additional newbuilds beyond the Ultra Voyagers. If the end result captures some of the qualities of Radiance Class ships, I am all in favor of it.

The line knows something about stretching ships having done so with Song of Norway and Nordic Prince decades ago. With approximately 300 more passengers and more space, the passenger/space ratio should still be pretty good, and the ship should not seem crowded. :)
