T- CRUISE Posted April 1, 2007 #1 Share Posted April 1, 2007 Could anyone suggest, in your opinion, the best balcony location on the ship ?? getting ready to book for feb 08. Thanks so much
-Lew- Posted April 1, 2007 #2 Share Posted April 1, 2007 We like mid to aft on Caribe deck. Caribe deck 10 has the largest balconies onboard. They're partially covered and have two lounges as-well-as two regular chairs and a table. Lew
BigGuy25 Posted April 1, 2007 #3 Share Posted April 1, 2007 We sailed on the Crown's first sailing to the Eastern Caribbean last summer. We had a great balcony cabin, slighly forward of midships, on the Lido deck. It was fabulous. But, this ship handles the seas so well I'm not sure that, other than price and view (often the higher the better), location makes a great deal of difference. To avoid elevators, we often look for a cabin not too far from the stairs and on a deck that makes going up to Lido or down to Deck 5 (usually where you find restaurants, casino, etc) about equal. JotWorld Posted April 1, 2007 #4 Share Posted April 1, 2007 Could anyone suggest, in your opinion, the best balcony location on the ship ?? getting ready to book for feb 08. Thanks so much Our fav's on all the Grand Class ships are C752 & C753, BB's Aft Corners with Wrap-a-round balconies(The only Corner Aft Reg Balcs on the entire ship, except B748 & 749 on the Super Grand Classes with an extra Deck, but they are not as deep, as on Caribe).:) What a Fabulous View & Very Private! It's the only ones we will take now! (Have to book as soon as they open);) My Best! Jot:)

Jot:) We were looking for either of these cabins, as well as the suite next door for a med cruise on the Emerald in 2008, and they were already gone (although the suites were available). We opted for the dolphin deck aft VS/balcony combo instead.
Casshew Posted April 1, 2007 #6 Share Posted April 1, 2007 Yep, those combos go quickly - I managed to get a C752 and a suite C750 for a Canada/NE cruise on the CB. Does anyone know if the balcony divider opens between these two cabins?

Does anyone know if the balcony divider opens between these two cabins? I posted this question last week, and someone did confirm that there IS a door in the balcony divider between these two cabins on the Grand, at least (as well as between the 2 on the aft of Dolphin). tomcruiser1234 Posted April 1, 2007 #13 Share Posted April 1, 2007 Anybody have info on D757 on Saphire. Does the balcony wrap around, not sure from looking at deck plans
hill6 Posted April 1, 2007 #14 Share Posted April 1, 2007 We had a minisuite last year on the Crown if you splurge we had D503. It was mid ship but far enough away from the elevators/stairs not to be bothered. If a regular balcony I would go for Caribe Deck.

JotWorld Posted April 2, 2007 #17 Share Posted April 2, 2007 JotWorld, Do you know how B749 is on the Crown? That would be a Great choice with a Covered wrap-a-round Balcony on a nice high deck:) Those are the ones to get 748 &749 on Aft Baja;) Enjoy your cruise on the Crown.:) Jot
firebrat25 Posted April 2, 2007 #18 Share Posted April 2, 2007 Caribe deck will give you the largest balcony by far, they are almost twice as big as the other balconies. I prefer to be at the aft of the ship, but most people enjoy midship. I hope you enjoy your cruise. :)
