Majesty Fan Posted April 6, 2007 #1 Share Posted April 6, 2007 Hubby and I will go to DL prior to our cruise for one night. We were wondering how long it will take to get from DL to San Pedro and what is the best way to get there? We will not have a car. Lexi
tinkerme1 Posted April 6, 2007 #2 Share Posted April 6, 2007 The ride from D-land to San Pedro is about 45 minutes to an hour depending upon traffic and bridge work near San Pedro. The best way to get from D-land to the Port is to hire a shuttle like PrimeTime or SuperShuttle. Traffic is sometimes/most likely an issue in this area and delays can occur due to traffic accidents, etc. Also, depending upon which day of the week you will be heading to the port would make a huge difference too. Monday through Friday is usually the worst traffic. Just give yourself plenty of time for the "just in case" scenario of being delayed.

Sunny AZ Girl Posted April 9, 2007 #4 Share Posted April 9, 2007 When are you cruising? We will be at Disneyland this weekend, staying at the HI across the street and will drive to the Monarch of the Seas on Monday morning. I can let you know how long of a drive it is when we return.:)
tinkerme1 Posted April 10, 2007 #5 Share Posted April 10, 2007 Ginny: Just remember that driving and taking a shuttle is a little different. Make sure you get the direct route to the Port! There are lots of ways to go to San Pedro from Disneyland.:D

furyion5 Posted April 13, 2007 #7 Share Posted April 13, 2007 I grew up in L.A. and we're doing the same thing for our cruise. Avoid traffic. 980, and 1070 (am radio stations give traffic reports ever 6-10 mins) We will probably take harbor blvd South to 22 west which turns into 7th st then Alimitos to Ocean This will take you over a bridge that will give you a great view of the ship. Not the easiest way but it will keep you off the 405 and 91 which are usually horrible in the morning.
