Laundry on the ship

On a thread a while back someone said that during a certain part of the cruise (perhaps in Glacier Bay, I really don't remember) where they would not let you use the washers on the ship. I can't find this thread so does any one know anything about this. I am trying to plan when we can do some laundry since we will be on the ship for 2 weeks on B2B cruises.

Correct, I've been on Princess in Glacier Bay and every time there was a notice laundries were closed.
