Rome to Stockholm - anyone done this trip?

We are planning to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversay with a cruise in July 2008. We were thinking of a transatlantic trip, but our TA came up with this as an option. Royal Princess - 16 days - Rome, Livorno, Cannes, Lisbon, Le Harve, London, Amsterdam, Keil Canal, Helsinki, St. Petersburg, Tallin, Stockholm.

 

We thought this would be a great first European cruise since it gives us some Med, some Baltic, with some nice variety. Anyone done something similar?

Suggestions on must see in these ports?

Didn't know which European forum to post this on since it could be Med or Western or Baltic!

We've been through the Kiel Canal twice, and it was really a highlight of those cruises. Very pretty part of Germany, and many locals waving at the ship as she passes by.

 

You'll be visiting some great ports. There is a lot of info on them on the Ports of Call threads.

If you are interested in seeing the Normandy beaches from Le Havre (rather than going to Paris) I highly recommend using John Flaherty at http://www.handmaidtours.com. It was the best tour we have ever taken anywhere.
