deck 7 Radiance class larger balcony questions

Recommended Posts

On Radiance class ships on deck 7 only there are E1 cabins toward the fore and the aft with extra large balconies. The fore cabins are over the theater and the aft are over the various clubs and lounges. Can anyone who has stayed in these cabins tell me: how was the noise level and how big are the balconies?

I also am curious about this as I have cabins 7022 and 7024 booked on the Serenade for our Hawaii Cruise in October. I know the balconies are larger, about 2 times the depth of the regular. I also know that these extreme forward cabins do not have the shelf under them for the lifeboat covers, beyond that I have no clue!

Thanks suzcruz, but I have also had an aft balcony on deck 7. Those are D catagories. What I want to know about is the side balcony cabins toward the aft. Has anyone had experience with these cabins that are over the deck 6 clubs?

Bump Hoping to find someone who has stayed in the deck 7 side balcony cabins with the extra large balconies that are toward the foreward over the theater and toward the aft over the clubs on deck 6. Noise factor?

I can't answer specifically for Radiance class ships but we were in a D1 on Vision of the seas, aft over the Some Enchanted Evening lounge. The thumping bass from the band could easily be heard in our room. Our room was pretty close to being over the bandstand.

Since then I've decided to avoid cabins over lounges as much as possible and booked either an E2 or E1 (can't recall and don't have the booking handy) on deck 8 for our Brilliance cruise next year.

We are planning on booking on the Radiance in January and wondered if there are any balcony rooms to avoid. We have quotes for mostly Deck 8. We have travelling companions that want an inside room. Are there any rooms to be avoided for the inside categories? Any help would be appreciated. We have been on the Spleandour and Empress of the Seas and it appears the Radiance is altogether a different size ship from the other two.
