Hampton Inn Convention Centre

Has anyone ever stayed at this hotel in New Orleans? I'm a bit confused as to what hotel to book since the Hilton Riverside is totally booked for the dates I need and I've read good reports about that hotel. I keep reading reviews about other hotels and can't believe the negative comments. Any suggestions....

How long are you there?? If you want FQ activities- stay there -- it is just far more convenient and makes better use of time being able to walk everywhere. I stay between the River, Canal and Royal. I am very fussy where I stay however and am a many time visitor.
