alaska-May 10/11 2007 then Denali-advice?

First time cruise to Alaska. Don't know what to expect for climate. Last month we fished in Costa Rica. I expect the fishing and climate to be different<grin> Any advice or comment would be welcome

Think cold. You're not in Costa Rica anymore.

Don't forget gloves, and maybe a hat. Layering is the advice most often given---for good reason! Be prepared for rain.

Most of all---have a great time. Alaska is breathtaking.

Once you get into the interior, think Boston on a cold and clear day in February....;)

Then if it's warmer, you can just loose the layers and enjoy the weather.:D :D

And make sure you don't get to Denali too early. I think they open like May 15 or so? BQ or others on this board know more details on that.

I'm convinced. Long Underwear and pretend I'm lobstering in December. That probably means the halibut fishing in Icy Strait might be uncomfortable also.
