39august Posted August 7, 2004 #1 Share Posted August 7, 2004 I wonder if you can book a Celebrity cruise while on board an RCI ship? It seems I read somewhere on these boards that you can do that and also get the on-board credit, just as you do if you book an RCI cruise? Also, a friend told me her TA advised that her previous RCI cruises would count toward giving her previous passenger credit on Celebrity. Is that true? bob278 Posted August 7, 2004 #2 Share Posted August 7, 2004 39, You can book either line while on board and get the credit. You can also book one line and change it later (as long as you keep the original booking number). You didn't ask, but you can decline to assign the booking to your current TA and shop around after you get home and then notify whichever line you are booked on what TA you want to use. Right now, cruises on one line do NOT count for the other loyalty program. There have been many threads about it, and the reusults are mixed. Many people are fine with two seperate programs and others want them combined. My feeling is that combining them would put so many people in the top category that it wouldn't be as useful for things like priority boarding. 39august Posted August 7, 2004 Author #3 Share Posted August 7, 2004 Bob, thanks. I agree that combining the programs probably would put too many people at a high level.
