I love to find a great cozy place for reading or make new friends and play cards! Also, I tend to go more for the trivia games and such on rainy days on board. I don't normally participate in them otherwise.

Wish it were me as I just did the T/A ending on the 2nd April. We had a few cool days towards the end of the journey and no problem with overcrowding etc. Always found things to do and remember you will also be in Port on many of the days in any case.

Just enjoy it and don't forget the WAFFLES for breakfast!

1. Good book.

2. Drink - alcohol or not depending on your taste

3. Sit on balcony if you have one.

4. Sit in quiet place on the ship preferably overlooking the sea.

5. Take a nap.

6. Participate in a shipboard activity.

7. Go to the casino.

8. Shop.

9. Find a place to sit and people watch.

10. Daydream.

Hmmmm. I guess that all sounds pretty wonderful to me.

I'm not a "sun" person, so pretty much every day is a rainy day....my routine at sea doesn't change much.

What I do: Reading. Movies in the movie theatre, or in room. Cards, shopping, meals, drinks, lectures, exercise, spa treatments, chatting with fellow cruisers, sitting on the aft deck under the canopy and watching the ocean. Ahh, calms me just to think of it.

Other things that I don't tend to do much if at all, but are available: gambling, bingo, shows, trivia games, computer classes, e-mail, coffee in Cova Cafe, arts classes, ping pong, bridge, port talks.

And of course, there's always visiting the future cruise desk!;)

I always find I'm having to choose between a few things, rather than not finding enough to do.

Millenium, like all M-Class ships, has a lovely COVERED Thallassotherapy pool with 2 whirlpools next to it and lots of deck chairs all around. It's a great place to hang out, rain or shine.

If it rains I plan on doing the things I would do even if it isn't raining (we are going to Alaska) -

Let someone else do all the cooking and cleaning while I sit back and enjoy the scenery, movies, shows, other passangers and my own family! Love the idea of sitting back and actually having uninterupted time with my family - no phone, no deadlines, no tv just lazy days - what could be better?

If it rains, most of the time I put on my bathrobe and relax in my cabin for several hours in the afternoon until my 5pm martini time, watching television, napping or reading a book. I don't need to be with people 24/7. Cruises, for me, are meant to be relaxing - no laundry, no shopping, no cooking, no this or that. I always look forward to my hour in the martini bar, chatting with the bartender, and interacting wih my dining room table companions.

I see other passengers knitting, reading, drinking or napping in the public lounges, or gambling in the casinos. They're enjoying whatever suits them the best. That's what cruises are all about. There's no right or wrong way to do it.

Thanks Folks,

You have all reminded me why I am going on this cruise. Reading other posts, you canget caught up in Cruise Commando mode trying to fit everything in. This is my first cruise and I suppose ther is an element of not wanting to miss out on the fun.

I am really looking forward to relaxing and enjoying quality time with my wife and forgeting about work for a few days. I love the sea and being next to the water. That alone rain or shine will make my day.

Warm regards
