No problem...

Roll: Side to side as you face the bow (or stern). Like the floor (deck) is tilting beneath your feet.

Pitch: Up and down, rising and falling vertically. Think of a fast elevator.

Yaw: A little harder......lateral (as apposed to rotational) side-to side movement. Caused as the end of the ship (fore or aft) moves from side to side. Generally speaking, yaw is only really felt (on large vessels) in very heavy sea conditions.

thanks!!

I cannot read all these pages so excuse me if this question has been asked already.

When is the second formal night and when is lobster night?

I'd like to book the supper club on a non-formal, non-lobster night.

Thanks!

First formal night is also lobster night-Monday. Second night is Friday.

However, the supper club's lobster is far superior than what you'll be served in the main dining room. We actually booked our supper club dinner on the second formal night....

Enjoy it. best meal on the ship!

We got off the Legend on Aug 3rd and we did the traditional late seating but we sat at breakfast the last day w/a couple who did open seating. They said they didn't request open seating but that is what they got. They said they went all different times and were always seated at a table for two and they missed meeting other people at dinner. I would think they could have requested a larger table. They never made reservations. They had the same servers every night which they liked. They said they noticed that if they went to dinner closer to 6 or 8 the food was hotter than if they dined in between those times. Tips are automatically put on you cc, don't think you have a choice as far as I know.

You can always have them removed (tips) by going to the purser's desk...and then give cash in envelopes. We opted to do that on a cruise a while back (this last one we put on the CC, but paid the CC in full before disembarking). No tips are ever locked in-you can change the amounts easily.

Thanks for the casino info responses.

Also - is there satellite tv on the boat? More specifically is it Direct TV. I'm a football junkie. Gotta watch my Browns in big game vs Steelers - luckily that one is a national game. I assume I'll be able to watch that one b/c national coverage. My poor Bengals fan friend thinks that if there is Direct tv then he'll be able to watch that game as well. Any ideas? I can't miss football ... but I'm sure I'll deal w/ it.

Thanks again!

You may have better luck in the sports bar. I cruised in March and they had some hockey games on so you may have luck catching some games in there! Good Luck!

I don't think they have Direct TV. DH has always been able to watch football - but they do just have the game being carried either by the network or ESPN. Last time we cruised, DH watched the Monday night football game in the sports bar. You should be able to watch the Browns/Steelers game. But, I have to say GO STEELERS!

What is the price range for going to the supper club? I saw a video online about it and it looked amazing!

I have a few Legends question. Does the Legends Café have any free food like donuts, sandwiches, cookies, etc.? Also is there a Circle C Club for the kids? My son is 13 now and will be 14 on the cruise and loves just hanging out with new friends and playing video games. Thats it for now, I know I will have more before the cruise. THANKS for any info:)

This is our first cruise and we are leaving 4 boys at home with Grandma while we are gone, first time ever. Want to know the best way to stay in touch with them. Internet, cell phone, prices for each?? We have an itouch we can use but don't know how much it costs to connect to the internet? Or how much Carnival charges to use your cell phone onboard the ship?

The Unicorn cafe, which is the buffet area on the Lido deck, has a wide variety of food. All of that food is free (unless you want something like the expresso bar). Almost all food items are free (not the special Supper Club), though. They have a number of stations set up for all 3 meals.....one has American hot foods, another has international hot foods (the country changes daily), one has Asian food (I believe), and one is a deli where you can get sandwiches either cold or grilled (very good!!). They also have an extensive salad bar and a dessert bar. In the am, the stations are set up for hot breakfasts, and they also have basics like bagels, cereal, etc. The stations will make you custom omelettes and eggs, too. Not certain about donuts. These stations are open for a number of hours for each meal, and then close down for a short time to prepare for the next meal. There is also a grill near the main pool where you can get burgers and dogs. When the buffets are closed, they always have pizza (also very good) and soft serve ice cream...both available 24 hours. In addition, you can always get free drinks from the buffet...fruit punch, lemonade, iced tea, milk, coffee and tea. No chance of going hungry on a cruise!;) And the dining room food is very good, and the amounts are good. If you're still hungry, you can order a 2nd dinner!:p

I can't answer about Conquest as I have never been on the Conquest class ships. But I loved the Legend!! Enjoy!!!:D

We signed up for a temporary International plan with our carrier before we left...think we took it for 2 or 3 months. It is cheaper to call from your cell while off the ship than it is while onboard as far as we were told. They have computers and sell internet minutes...pretty expensive...can't remember the figures. I believe I remember they had internet specials nearer the end of the cruise. I don't believe we had to pay extra for text messaging, so that was our preferred method of contact...but we did notice that not all messages came to us timely:rolleyes: Talk to your cell provider and see what they can offer you...

Sorry I forgot about your other question...they have a Club 02 for teens and they have their own area to hang out and all. There is a video arcade as well, so he should be good to go!

Irishlinny.... Thanks for the info. I was wondering about the Legends Café on the Promenade deck. Is it like a little café where you can go and sit and have coffee and donuts for breakfast and snack food the rest of the day? We where on the Mariner of the seas and they had a café like this. It was great after coming back from a port and grab a bit to take back to your room. Like I need something more to eat:D But it was on the way to our room so what the heck.

hmmmmmmm.....Legend Cafe.............I'm thinking I missed that altogether! We will have to wait and see if anyone else knows of this place! Unless it was added last year after we sailed...I know she went into drydock and they added the mini golf...maybe this was something else they did? It's a domescratcher! We always just came back and went to the Unicorn and grabbed something. Let's see if anyone else can help here!

We were in 8123, right next door. It was a fantastic room. The only noise we ever had was on just one night they must have been vacuuming the spa and were moving furniture around. Didn't last too long and was only the one night.

We loved being up high and never had any issues with the motion. I felt it was more noticable aft in the dining room.

Have a great cruise.

Thank goodness for the search feature.................

Someone had asked the question about room 8125, which we have booked for a Feb. 09 cruise.............Thanks for the reply............

We booked this particular room , because it is slightly offset from the rooms behind us. Since I smoke cigars, I didn't want smoke blowing directly on the rooms downwind..............
