Have signed up for an Hawaiian Tour which includes the 10 day Pride of Aloha Cruise Oct 6-20. Tour books with NCL and I pay tour group. Is it possible to use Compass Rewards Certificates by mailing to NCL(I will be using NCL credit card to pay for tour) prior to paying tour group for the balance? Also I think I read that once you get 1000 points you dont earn any more IS that correct? Any advice would help. THANKS!!!

I've never had experience with a "tour group" as far as compass rewards go, I have always used them on indivdually booked cruises. That being said, you should be able to give them to your TA responsible for the group booking and have them send it in with final payment to NCL. Since you are booked within a group, I do not think you personally can mail it to NCL yourself. Your TA should handle it. Its just like cash at that point, and they should apply it to your balance and mail it in.

Your card agreement should outline how many points you may earn in a single year, and how long before they start to expire. I know there is a yearly maximum and I believe (not having my agreement in front of me) that they start to wither away after three years.

The certificates are made out to the individual that the creit card is issued. The certificate will be used on the individual to whom the Cruise ticket is made out for. If this is thru NCL, it would be best to call. We are booked thru the Casino's at Sea program from NCL with an 18% discount and they take the Discount coupon. We just sent off $1500.00 woth of coupons to them last week. So our $3200.00 Alaska trip will only cost $1700.00. third time using the compass rewards. Can't beat it....:)
