Loyalty Ambassador

Recommended Posts

Can anyone tell use if you REALLY get a good discount if you book your next cruise with a loyalty ambassador while on a cruise? We are cruising on RCCL in August and are planning another RCCL cruise later this year. Is it worth it (moneywise) to wait until our cruise or go ahead and book it now? Any tips?

You don't get any discount though you do get on board credit for the cabin depending on the length of the cruise. As far as booking now or waiting you it is basically a toss up. If the prices go up between now and August then you pay the higher price which the obc might or might not offset. My advice would be to book now to lock in the price. If the price goes up then you have the lower price, if the price is the same or goes down the LA will cancel the original reservation and rebook you at the same time with the OBC in place. You may or may not be able to get the same room when doing this so you need to be flexible.

We always try to book on board. The on board credit is significant, especially for longer cruises. If you think the price might increase or your desired cabins might not be available by the time you cruise then it might be better to book now. Dollar for dollar I don't think there is any discount for booking onboard vs the regular cruise price you would get anywhere else at the same time.

You don't get a "discount" you get "onboard credit". the amount depends on the length of the cruise. We do book future cruises while onboard to get the onboard credit but we also book future cruises without being onboard if we know what we want and are afraid they will sell out or that our "preferred" cabin might not be available, etc. Hope this helps a little.
