Dinner on AOS---First Night

How do they do the dinner on the first night on AOS? With the late departure, do they do an open seating or if you eat in the dining room do you have your assigned table?

Dinner is usually pushed back about 1/2 hour the 1st night. It's still assigned seating, and you should go--that way, you will get to meet your tablemates!

We had the late seating and were at dinner during sailaway. They left the drapes open so we could see the world go by. I missed not being up on deck during that time, but it was neat sailing past a Carnival ship all lit up at night.

We just got off the AOS this past Sunday. We had early seating and it was at 6:30...between Early and Late seatings your do the life boat drill.

Our dinner ran late and we had to take the stairs up to Deck 10 after wining and dining….man that was hard! Next time we’ll bring the life vests to dinner. :eek:
