Ships R Great Posted August 10, 2004 #1 Share Posted August 10, 2004 The new CC page has a light blue font and is sort of small. At least mine is. Anybody know how I can change it. Walt gave me a suggestion but it didn't work.
excitedofharpenden Posted August 10, 2004 #2 Share Posted August 10, 2004 Ships I don't think you can change what you view wholesale. You can change your own font by going into "Options" and "Advanced" text (at the very bottom) into WYSIWYG, but it won't change your general view, I don't think. Administrators Rare LauraS Posted August 10, 2004 Administrators #3 Share Posted August 10, 2004 Hi there! I'm a bit confused but we have no "fonts" set for light blue...we are using either black or a navy blue font. Can you provide me with more informaiton, such as what browser (& version) you are using? Ships R Great Posted August 10, 2004 Author #4 Share Posted August 10, 2004 Laura, I am using Windows XP/MSN internet explorer. The font may be navy but it is very light. Is there a way I can change it to black?
tuggers Posted August 10, 2004 #5 Share Posted August 10, 2004 Mine is the same way and I have the same things as ships! The text is so light it bothers me late at night!
tuggers Posted August 11, 2004 #6 Share Posted August 11, 2004 I thought we might hear something about this.
wv4891 Posted August 11, 2004 #7 Share Posted August 11, 2004 Is there a way of adding another template for people who may need a font size 12 or 14 in bold black or bold navy blue? I notice that there are 2 or 3 available now, but none appear to change the font size or color. I am using I.E. 6.0 128 bit, latest upgrade to this version. I can not seem to change the font size of your board by changing my I.E. font default either. Hi there! Brahmama Posted August 11, 2004 #8 Share Posted August 11, 2004 I have a MAC, so I thought maybe that was the problem. When I type it is black, but on the boards it is a medium blue. When I try to change the font/size/color - the code appears but no changes. For example: This is supposed to be Franklin Gothic Medium / size 5 / color purple Thanks for any help. P.S. Is there anyplace that could give us hints for Mac users?
Brahmama Posted November 20, 2004 #9 Share Posted November 20, 2004 I'm still trying to get this to work. Thought I'd give it another shot!
Ships R Great Posted November 20, 2004 Author #10 Share Posted November 20, 2004 I can't change mine either. It is really hard for these aging eyes to read. Somebody figure something out, please! Hosts, can you do anything to offer an alternative font color and size?
gizmo Posted November 20, 2004 #11 Share Posted November 20, 2004 Changing it from the settings on this board is not going to do it. Did you try changing the font size in your Control Panel on your PC?
Ships R Great Posted November 20, 2004 Author #12 Share Posted November 20, 2004 How do I do that?
wieslaw Posted November 21, 2004 #13 Share Posted November 21, 2004 By changing your computer/monitor display size from lets say 1152 x 864 to 1024 x 768 will make the size of displayed letters bigger and easier to read. Wes
gizmo Posted November 21, 2004 #14 Share Posted November 21, 2004 Go to Programs, Control Panel It now depends on your operating system what you choose next. Mine is XP so I choose Appearences and Themes, then Screen Resolution, Advanced, then change the font size. Win 95 is different but you should be able to figure it out if you go through the tabs. Before you start changing anything write down the values you start off with in case you get something you don't like. You can at least go back to your starting point. Ships R Great Posted November 22, 2004 Author #15 Share Posted November 22, 2004 Gizmo, thanks. I have XP also. I did as you suggested. It did change my font size on the computer but not on the Cruise Critic messages. :(
