"Must Haves"

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have any tips and/or suggestions of things that are a "must have" when cruising the Baltic? Clothing, etc. Packing for 14 days can be a real challenge. How have those who have done a 14- or more day cruise prepare for this, given the luggage limitations? We will be on the July 10th Prisendam sailing.

First suggestion would be to buy some REI clothes or their equivalent. These clothes can be hand washed and dried in 2-8 hrs. Bring clothes that can do double duty for daytime & evening. Limit the amount of shoes - no one will remember you didn't have green shoes to make your green outfit, Go to Rick Steve's website or pick up one of his books - he's got great suggestions for compact packing.

Posting again to get pointers from those who have done the Baltic ports other than those offered by chrismch (thanks).

Don't forget to also check out the "cruise discussion" section of the boards. There might be some helpful discussion going on there as well.
