Which RCCL ships have the best pools & kids clubs?

Recommended Posts

We just got back from a Disney cruise with our 4 year old. We loved the cruise but the pools were really tiny and very crowded especially on sea days. We are thinking about cruising with RCCL. What ships are the best for kids and have nice pools? It looks like Freedom and Liberty have nice pool areas, but what about the Explorer or Radiance class ships? I like the thought of a Southern carribean cruise but wasn't sure what the ships were like and if there would be many kids.

Are there any ships to avoid? Our friends went on RCCL 2 years ago on a 5 day cruise on an older ship and they said it wasn't very nice but I can't remember which ship it was.

Thanks for any suggestions :)

I just don't imagine any pool area at sea for kids any better than the H2O Zone on Freedom and Liberty of the Seas...and in 2008, Independence. When I see that, I wish I were a kid again. It is a fantasyland swimming area. Who ever designed it really knows what kids want. It has to be one of the largest pool areas for kids I have seen on any ship.

Agree w/HeavySurf-nothing can beat the Freedom/Liberty/Independence H2O Fun Zone pools for kids-I wish for 1 hour a day they would kick all the kids out and let the adults play there for one hour!!!
