jengwen Posted April 9, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 9, 2004 If I recall correctly, the dog sledding excursions end in mid-July.
bunnybear Posted April 9, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 9, 2004 I contacted many companies and there are no dog sledding on the glacier available in September. We have opted to take a tour with Idaride (Seaveys) in Seward. It's a wheeled dog sled ride. We will be able to play with the puppies. It's not quite the same - but since we can't change our cruise dates it will have to do. B J Posted April 13, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 13, 2004 FYI** The Seaveys mentioned on the post earlier won the Iditrod this year. Would you believe I met a friend of theirs today in my home town of Burnet Texas!!! It really is a small world. Alaska Star Posted April 14, 2004 #6 Share Posted April 14, 2004 Dog sledding on the glaciers generally ends sometime in August - it depends on the weather & of course the health of the dogs. Last season it ended early.
