Anyone ever expedite a birthcerticate?

Because of no passport we have had to expedite a birth certificate, has anyone done this bf, if so did you get it pretty fast?

Yeah--it costs more, but if you have to have it--well, you gotta pay! It's usually 48 hours.

Yes, we had it within I think 3 days or less. We had to pay for over night postage for Fed Ex I think. They said they needed a day to pull the birth certificate. It could have been even faster than 3 days, it was over a weekend.

Depending on the state, you can go to the State Health Department or Dept.of Vital Records and get it the same day. Maryland being one of those places.

We just went to the county seat and got it right then and there. No problem, just needed a picture ID and $.

In Texas you can walk in and get it too, new fee of 23 dollars.

 

You can also contact the office in the state you were born, I did this for Tennessee, and order a copy.. I lost my copy so my mom called and had them expedite 2 copies to me, I had them before the week was out.

While back my Wife misplaced hers. Drove from NJ to Virginia on a Friday night, first in line Saturday morning, home that afternoon to pack for a Sunday AM flight and cruise departure.

The actual process to get the certificate at the County Offices took less than 20 minutes.

In NY, you can get it same day. I just walked into the county office building, office of statistics, gave them my name, driver's license and money, and walked out with my bc
