Ladybugdm Posted May 31, 2007 #1 Share Posted May 31, 2007 I just read on the Air Tahiti website that the maximum weight allowance for a carry on bag is 22 pounds. For those of you who have flown recently, did they actually weigh your carry on baggage? When I flew 5 years ago, they just looked at my rollaboard and saw that it wasn't huge and let me take it on. I never like to check luggage, and I pack light, but I generally take 40+ pounds on board with me, and I don't want to check it if I don't have to. Any insight would be much appreciated. When we traveled to Tahiti in March, there was no weighing of carry on luggage either in LA or in Papeete. Not that I saw anyway.
Wendy The Wanderer Posted June 1, 2007 #3 Share Posted June 1, 2007 Remember that Air Tahiti is the domestic carrier, and is not the same as Air Tahiti Nui (nui means "big"), is the one which flies from LA to PPT.
