Earliest flights - SB Coral Princess

Dear All

 

We are arriving in YVR on 2 July by the SB Coral Princess at 730A.

 

What do you think the time will be for the earliest flight we could take from YVR airport.

 

Tried calling Princess, but the lines were too busy.

1pm or later, if you don't get US Direct. And that time will require to be off the ship early.

We just docked on Princess at 7:30am this past week.

 

The USDirect program is a joke and at least 3 of the major airlines (USair, Continental and Delta) have already backed out. If you say USDirect to Princess, they wont know what you are talking about. They call it "easy check-in"

 

Since we flew USair, we could not take advantage of this program. If you can take advantage of easy check in - then go for it, however, if you cant -you shouldnt have problems making an early flight

 

We did NOT use USDirect and were in the airport, through customs and wating at our terminal by 9:45am. Grated we made good time, but there shouldnt be any reason you wouldnt make a flight after 11am

 

If you have an early flight - this is how it will work.

 

As long as you buy a Princess transfer, you will get a red disembark tag. You will get off the ship, go through Canadian immigration, go down the elevator and get on your bus to the airport.

 

Your luggage was already tagged the night before and set outside your stateroom. Princess gathers this and takes this by truck directly to the airport.

 

So - you ride the bus to the airport, get off the bus, find your luggage in the section of the aiport devoted to Princess and you go check in with your airline.

 

Easy as that
