When do the Holiday Decorations Go Up?

We have just booked a 14 night Transatlantic cruise departing December 1, 2008 - will the ship be decked out for the holidays yet or do they wait until it mid-December.

 

Funny Story: We were on a Mercury last September listening to some of the live music in the Atrium, when the band went on break they turned on some recorded music. We sat finishing our drinks when all the sudden we hear "Silver Bells, Silver Bells - it's Christmas time in the City".

 

Most of the people in the atrium started laughing and without missing a beat a member of the crew got on the microphone and said "Happy Holidays Everybody".:D

tha is an inteesting question. we are sailing on the Galaxyon 12/8 and arrive in San Juan on 12/22. wonder if decorations will go up during the TA?

We were on the December 2 sailing on Mercury in 2005 & they put up the Christmas decorations during the cruise so I would imagine that at some point during your TA, you will see the decorations go up.

we sailed galaxy holiday last year and got on 12/22. Of course the decorations were up already. Truth be told, unless celebrity is going "overboard" this year. :D Their decorations are minimal and sparse by comparision to other cruise lines.

 

Last year we had some trees, light and flowers that was about all. Hope you ar not looking for too much.
