San Juan 5pm-12-am on Liberty. What did you do?

We will be in San Juan 5pm-12am on a Monday. Too late for Fort Tour. Too late to hit the beach. Not a good night for the Bio tour. To all previous Liberty cruisers who visited San Juan at night what did you do? Did you stay on the boat? Take a walking tour? With or without kids what was your experience at this port?

I was on that cruise this past March and I took the San Juan City and Shopping tour. This tour took us the fort and we made it time to walk through it before it closed. That was wonderful It took us to the state building and we were still allowed inside. We were shown the new part of San Juan plus the old section of San Juan and then let off to go shopping or taken back to the port. This excursion is on a small air conditioned bus.

I didn't have any kids with me, but there was some on our bus. It wasn't a hard excursion for them.

I too would love to hear what others did. I am not one to ever book excursions thru a ship. I find that exploring on your own or booking your own outings proves to be much better many times.

Anyone else....tell us what you did off the Liberty.

thanks!

We will be arrive Monday on the Carnival Liberty (Sept 17th) My future FIL lives there. He said he would take us the a local resturant to eat and do some dancing.

If you will be on the same cruise come join us for the role call. Some have already made plans.

We'll be in OSJ next week for the 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. docking off LOS.

My BIL said he has taken a taxi from the pier to the rain forest, an hour's ride each way, had a nice meal there, etc.

Anybody know anything about doing a rain forest trip on your own (vs. the ship horseback riding excursion)?

THANKS!
